Complains against SLMWAC for ignoring ‘Sri Lankan Muslim Women’ for the 1st AGM Meeting
I came to know that the SLMWAC (for men & women) is going to conduct its 1st AGM on 17th of January 2010 in Crawley UK. It was announced publicly and the agenda of the programmes was given to the members and to the general public. I could see many anti social and highly unethical behaviours of the committee as it has completely ignored women’s roles and basic women’s rights in the UK. There are many serious and very significant issues for your kind consideration;
01. The Committee has been functioning nearly 06 years, but until today the committee did not give sufficient positions for women. Indirectly bulling or insulting Sri Lanka Muslim women in the name of Religion, Traditions and what so ever.
02. None of the Sri Lankan Muslim Women were invited to this function. You have completely ignored and treat them as out casted people. This is against UK values and laws and also against the basic Islamic Women’s rights.
03. There are hundreds of Sri Lankan Muslim women who live in Crawley, but the committee look down them upon and treat them miserably.
04. Sri Lankan Muslim women should work independently (semi) in the committee, but until to date the committee made no arrangements to perform the women’s rights.
05. There are many Sri Lanka intellectuals living in Crawley and they work for women’s basic rights, but the committee systematically marginalized them and suspended them without any reasons and by practising incorrect procedures. In brief the SLMWAC is practicing jungle laws in the international environment like UK.
06. Until to date (nearly 6 years) the committee did not produce its constitution in a written form for the public.
07. The committee collects money from the people, but so far (nearly 6 years) the financial records and statements were not shown to the General public. It is very clear that the committee does not follow correct procedures in any matters. This is completely against UK values and laws. Also the committee does not allocate sufficient funds for Women’s welfare, activities and progress. It is very much regrettable indeed.
08. The committee does not open the door for intellectual open-honest discussions, professional interactions within the members and others, and it does not find any correct methods to resolve the internal problems. It is very clear that the committee systematically initiates ‘hate crimes’, divisions, disorders and anti social behaviours in various ways.
09. The committee does not follow the correct way of electing the people to run a good system, but members are being enrolled through ‘back door’, by cheating the public and giving false promises. This causes many disorders and tensions within the Sri Lankan Muslim community in Crawley.
10. Once the SLMWAC practised thug approach, when one of the Sri Lankan members raised some important questions about the committee’s wrong works. The particular thug group (Including President, Vice President, Secratary, Treasures, some committee members and others) entered into a particular person’s (Mr. Fazlan) house without prior permission of him. Further the committee’s thug group behaved in a degraded manner and made that brother’s wife (Mrs. Fazlan) cry. After this incident, the committee publicly apologised for their silly and shameful behaviours. (Evidence is available), we condemn this type of unethical approach of the Sri Lankan committee in all circumstances.
There are many chapters we can write about the degraded and mean approaches of the committee. However, as soon as possible we should find proper and ethical solutions for the above mentioned anti social behaviours.
We would like to request from the committee....
01. The committee’s constitution must be available in printed form to be read by all (men and women) and the corrections should be made after an open discussion with the public.
02. The constitution must contain a chapter for ‘Women’s roles and the basic rights of them.
03. Financial documents must be shown to the public at least monthly and an amount of money must be allocated for women welfare, activities & progress.
04. Minimum a day per week must be allocated for women’s welfare and activities in the Sri Lankan Mosque.
05. Women’s section must be operated semi independently. The committee must give its fullest supports in all forms to launch women’s public programmes for the Sri Lankan Muslim Women and for other women as well.
06. Women participation & their rights must be guaranteed in all the programmes of the committee.
07. The committee should allocate a Women prayer hall, Women Dress change room, women’s toilets, women discussion rooms, women library and etc in the Mosque.
08. The committee must provide a venue to run ‘Women Education and Development Unit’ in the Mosque.
09. The committee should not interfere falsely or unethically in any women’s activities.
10. A unit for women (‘Sri Lanka Muslim Women Welfare Association Crawley’) must be launched in the forthcoming 1st AGM. Therefore we would like to have open and honest discussions with the committee by the mediation of ‘Crawley Ethnic Minority Partnership of Crawley Council’ UK.

I, (Membership # 153) one of the Co-founder members of SLMWAC would like to call the president of SLMWAC for an open-honest-professional-debate or for a discussion. This debate is to expose the unprofessional, unethical conducts of you and the uncivilised backdoor entered working committee members.
There are many significant allegations against you;
01. The 17th General Assembly (GA) ended up in total chaos. As audio/video recording was not allowed, I would like to present the records of the meeting in a written form.
02. The door was closed to the participants those who had alternative views of the programme and its contents. Most of the members’ basic rights were not given.
03. The entire programme (17th GA) was planned to attack Crawley Dawwah Unit (CDU) and attacking others is against the committee’s draft constitution (please read the introduction part) Also the CDU issue was not included in the given agenda. So, it is very clear that the working committee plays games by manipulating the members, systematically vaccinating poisons to the members, practising hate crimes among the public without following correct procedures and ethical methods to resolve the problems.
04. An audio recording of Br. Naleem’s talk was played to the public, which was irrelevant to the meeting. Further the particular audio was recorded by the uncivilized working committee members without permission of Br. Naleem. Further you insulted Br. Naleem in public without his presence. Hence it is very clear that the working committee does mean works within the committee and in the society. These kinds of degraded works spoil other innocent committee members’ good reputations.
05. The SLMWAC is not a recognized unit by the majority of the Sri Lankan Muslims living in Crawley. For example, out of around 850 Tamil speaking Muslims, nearly 175 have the membership. Even among the 175 members, majority of them are not happy with the functions your wrong committee. Also the president (unelected & backdoor entered member) fear for honest discussions, debate and fair electoral process.
06. You did not allow me to bring the correct constitution to the committee in the year 2006 and created many problems and avoided me from this sincere holy work (constitutional affairs). Further, you were requested to produce the constitution to the public before going it for the committee’s registration process at the charity commission in UK (http://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/). But you completely denied the request and cheated the innocent general public. By this you have created permenant problems within the committee and among the Sri Lankan society. However with the help of your uncivilized team members, you produced a kufr, biased, unethical and self interested constitution with baseless conditions. In fact, it was written to take revenge from the general public, rather than protecting the Umma and bringing mercy to mankind (Allah has sent mercy to mankind. Quran 21:107). Hence being a part of this committee and the kufr setup is contradicted to the basic Islamic sharia according to the Quranic versions 5:44-48-49. Further the Wrong–unislamic constitution is being implemented by you, without the approval of responsible & respectable Sri Lankan Community Leaders in Crawley. The general public do not even know the constitution & its contents until to date.
07. You and your wrong working committee deliberately divided the Unification of Sri Lankan Muslims into many divisions and into many subsets and created permanent fithna (turmoil) in Crawley by Promoting planned hate crimes. So the innocent committee members are the victims of these sins in front of Almighty Allah (swt). Why should the innocent members be the victims of your foolish works?
08. The entire working committee is based and backed by thugs & uncivilized people, not by honest, recognised-civilized people. (Few may be good but insignificant). Also you do not even like respectable and influential people’s involvement to rebuild the Crawley Muslim Society further in future too. You do divide the society and enjoy the divisions, like Firouwn did in the ancient Islamic history. This is lamentable and regrettable also against Islam indeed. But, as a person I have contributed immensely to bring the unification among Crawley Sri Lankans in 2006, infact you hated these types of sincere works. At the 17th GA meeting, publicly you told that the CDU is the reason for the 15/01/2010 riots, fights and all the problems in Crawley by promising in the Holy Quran. Also you said openly fabricated stories about the CDU on the 15th, after the jumma. You deliberately do create clashes between Thouwheed and Tableege movements to keep up your position of presidency and silly interest within the committee and in the society. But the fact is, you are the root cause for the 15th riots, fights and all the problems in Crawley. I can prove this to the public at any time. (NB: Though I am not a CDU member, we all are one global Umma)
09. The illegitimate current working committee (backdoor members) cannot implement this draft wrong constitution for any reasons in the society. The President and the Secretary used item 06, iv of page 11, to take revenge from some of the founder members of the SLMWAC. This decision is not valid and another silly work of the committee. Last year, you and your uncivilized working committee members publicly apologised from Mr. Fazlan of Akurana for the mean work of yours against him. By implementing this wrong law, (item 06, IV page 11) you are bulling and humiliating the founder members of SLMWAC. Further, for any reasons you cannot deny the basic rights of our Sri Lankan brothers & sisters that Allah (swt) has given to them. Even a Prophet cannot deny the basic rights of any human beings but you did it as a silly man. These are very shameful and highly uncivilised actions. We condemn these types of approaches of the committee.
10. The Working Committee’s actions create disorders and tensions among the Sri Lankans and also violate the draft constitution (see page 15, ‘crimes’). By being illegitimate working committee members and also working against the draft wrong constitution, how can you & the working committee members ask for any explanation (Please see page 14 item 03) from the public/members. It is a joke. Please do not crack jokes with the innocent public. Further, the Working committee members violate item 07 and their actions contradict item 10. Who is going to investigate and judge these matters even if we state many complaints against the present uncivilized committee? This is a serious question now!!!. In brief, the wrong people (the present committee) can not involve in any legal and disciplinary affairs with other people in any circumstances. This is against the basic Islamic values and UK laws. I could see the complete failure of the present committee as it practices jungle laws among humans.
11. The president SLMWAC is responsible for the entire disorders, destructions, divisions, thugs’ attacks to Mr.Fazlan, and all the other anti Social Behaviours in Crawley among the Sri Lankan Community.....etc.
12. Further, being a president, you did not answer for a call made by one of the Muslim sisters living in Crawley. You are afraid of ordinary women’s telephone calls and escape from answering the questions of them. (Evidence is available)
13. Especially in the financial matters you did not follow the correct procedures. You are afraid to show the printed reports to the General public. (nearly 06 years records were systematically hidden)
14. Sri Lankan Muslim women were not recognized; totally they were undermined and eliminated from the committee’s works and from the 17th Public programme.
15. You misuse Crawley Sri Lankan resources; undermine sincere and respectable people’s advices and instructions but work with problematic people. This is against the draft constitution page 04 item F.
16. You have given membership cards for 2010 (please see the attachments). Do you have the legitimate rights to produce membership Identity cards to the members? If yes, how long does your card valid for..? It shows your selfishness and madness. Please stop discrimination within the society. In front of the law, all must be equal including you.
17. In Summary, you are cheating the General public and you are the root cause for all anti social behaviours and the key trouble maker in Crawley among the Sri Lankans and within the committee as well.
18. There are many Volumes of complains against you that we can produce to the General public and to any authorities in UK and Sri Lanka, If necessary.
19. You disturb Islamic professional development in Crawley and you work openly against deen*. Further, you humiliated honest skilled people, jeopardised them and derail the entire system. (*eg: You stopped men’s Sunday programmes at the Langley Green mosque by giving a letter to the mosque authority and stopped our Sri Lankan brothers’ participation in the affairs of the mosque management by abusing your power)
20. You are very much fear of my addressing the general public. You take all the attempts to avoid my arrival and my speeches in meetings with the public. For this purpose you used your culprits and thugs to disturb me and stopped me appearing from public appearances. It is very shameful and another absolute anti social behaviour of yours.
By being a member of SLMWAC, I would like to request from you.....
01. To take up these challenges and appear in front of the people with me for an honest discussion or a debate to maintain peace and harmony among the Sri Lankans in Crawley UK.
02. to fulfil the above stated request 01, or else it would be better if you could leave from your position (resign yourself) in a respectable manner as you are not an elected president through the correct electoral process by the entire Sri Lankan Muslims & Tamil speaking Muslim people. (You postponed the correct electoral process by telling fabricated stories... day by day, for nearly 06 years)
03. to stop sending any illegitimate & unwanted letters to anyone by writing in the SLMWAC’s letter head. And also being an illegitimate backdoor member of this committee, you cannot deny the basic rights of any individuals that Allah has given to them. Therefore you have to withdraw all the given illegitimate letters to the people (from 2006 to date) and apologise from them publicly as they were humiliated by your foolishness.
04. I need your written explanation for the sent letter to me dated 12th Sunday 2006,
05. Further, I kindly request from you, to stop all the anti social behaviours and total disorders in Crawley as we are living in the international community like UK. Indeed, I will be questioned by the Almighty Allah (swt) in the day of Judgments for my responsibilities as I am one of the key contributed members who rebuilt this organization (SLMWAC) in February 2006 to help and unify the entire Sri Lankans and others to achieve the common goals for good.
Allah (swt) says ’’..And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. Beware ! They indeed the mischief-makers. But they perceive not.’’ (TMQ 02:11-12)
